While I was in Colorado, I had the chance to summit Mt. Uncompahgre. I was so excited about this mountain. It was a great hike, and I highly recommend it. It is challenging, yet possible to conquer. At the beginning of the trail, there is a post with a list to keep track of hikers coming and going. I filled out each box and under comments wrote, “Total Domination.” I saw a marmot on the trail! I climbed out to get a photo of him on this small rock on a cliff.

I photographed the very talented Ashley Myrick recently. Below is a rough presentation of a few photos. We shot inside the Annex House in Dallas, TX.

stars in colorado

I’m in Colorado this week photographing a property. About 12 years ago I came to this place as a backpacking camper. I had never experienced the wilderness as raw and honestly as I did that week. It truly changed me. I will always come back to the mountains.

Stylist Lara Amis and I worked together a couple months ago. This is one of my favorite shots that I left off the previous post. I love birds! We got this shot by spreading bird seed just behind the shoes, then I had Lara run at the birds. We did this about 10 times. It was hilarious, and so worth the effort. We also got that amazing squirrel shot with the dress. We put out some food and just waited for the squirrels to get closer. At one point we were surrounded by fluffy tails. I waited for one to get into the shot, and sure enough he had some modeling experience.

I just shot Planet Clothing’s fall line yesterday. More to come!
