fuel city

I have been shooting an ongoing slideshow project showcasing different taco places for the Dallas Observer. Today I photographed Fuel City, and I found something extraordinary in the field nearby. Check out last week’s photos from Rusty Taco.

brunch is good for you

September 28, 2010

I recently photographed two local Dallas restaurants that have diverse menus and style. Brunch is one of their specialties. Smoke has one of the best Mimosas that I’ve had (and I like champagne, and yes, you can mess up a mimosa if you don’t put enough champagne in it- I like to go with 2.5 parts champagne, and .5 part orange juice). I recommend ordering the Heavy Handed Blueberry & House Made Ricotta Cheese Pancakes with Vanilla Poached Apricots and Cream. I don’t need to explain why. La Grange, located in the heart of Deep Ellum, also has a great brunch showcase with their Eggs Benedict and leak hash. I would go with their sno cone to drink. Yes. It is a sno cone with alcohol.
